One reason people go to church is to
develop friendships and find their place in a world that is becoming ever more
impersonal. At
Westside
Church, we seek to be a
warm, inclusive community. The center of our community religious life is
Sunday worship when we gather to lift up our common values and our historic
tradition. But we recognize that the individuals in our church have more
specific, varied interests, and so we have many small groups, classes and
committees which encourage people to gather around common interests, and thus
develop spiritually in more intimate settings.

Pot Luck Sunday
Held the
3rd Sunday of every month right after church. A great way to show
off your great cooking and get to catch up with fellow Westsiders.

Forums
Different topic are discussed on scheduled Sundays at the church
starting at 9:45 a.m., and are held either in the sanctuary or the fellowship

member’s home at 6:30 p.m. every 4th Sunday.
Bridge

players are all invited.
SMART Recovery and Relationship
Enhancement Groups
Beginning in January 2008 Westside's minister will be facillitating two groups at church. The SMART Recovery group is an alternative to Alcoholics Anonymous and will meet on Tuesday evenings. The Relationship Enhancement Group is open to all couples who desire to concentrate on their relationship skiils and then go to a dinner and movie. Investment Club

The investment club meets in a
member’s home at 7 p.m. monthly to discuss how their investments are
performing and to decide on new ones.
The Lunch Bunch
Every Wednesday at 11:30am Westsiders (and friends) gather at a local restaurant
for community discussion and a good lunch. Please check the church
calendar for current location.
Dinners for 7 or 9
Dinners for 7 or 9 are a way to get together to share a (potluck?) meal and
fellowship in order to create and renew friendships and interactions with others
in the congregation. They will be held 9 times a year on the first weekend
of the month. No dinners will be held in November, December, and July.
