Upcoming Service

Rev. Shari New.jpgJune 7:  “UUSC Justice Sunday” with Rev. Shari Woodbury

As we begin exploring our June theme of Compassion, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committeehttps://www.uusc.org/about-uusc/ (UUSC). UUSC works across the country and around the world to advance human rights on behalf of Unitarian Universalists and our liberal religious values. We'll explore key highlights and lessons from its history – its brave legacy – and renew our support for this work of compassion and justice.

Last Week's Service

Rev. Shari New.jpgMay 31:  Flower Ceremony with Rev. Shari Woodbury

As a people of thresholds, one of our gateways of the turning year is the Flower Ceremony.  This year we’ll remember the meaning of this ritual – and the role of the church – in times of crisis like the one in which it evolved. And we’ll share messages with one another for this time of challenge and change in our own era.

In lieu of a ceremony in the sanctuary, many Westsiders sent in pictures of themselves with a flower or plant and some words of encouragement, which we viewed as a slideshow and as a collage.

If you did not participate in this project already, but you would like to, you can send your picture to minister@westsideuu.org by next Saturday, June 6. Include your smiling face, a flower or other plant, and any words of hope or wisdom you wish to share.

Westside can now receive donations through the GivePlus App.  With GivePlus, you can quickly and easily give to the church using your smartphone.  Donations can be made with a credit or debit card.  You can contribute as a guest user, or you can set up an account with will allow for recurring donations and allow you to view your giving history.  GivePlus is a safe, secure way to make online donations to Westside!
